After graduating with my bachelor degree in Fine Art, I still was working for the University of Mount Olive as a Writing Consultant, a Tutor, and eventually Writing Center Coordinator. During my time working at the Writing Center, I designed a logo for the University of Mount Olive Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, an English Society.
After hearing the thoughts and feelings of the chapter members during one of their meetings, I thought I would offer two options for them. I felt that fundamental difference in character between the monochromatic and the colorful logo was similarly a reflection the dual disposition of the group: dynamic and yet conservative.

Weapon of Choice Logos
As a graduate student in college, I was commissioned to create a logo for a small communication consulting business called "Weapon of Choice."
For this logo, I focused on the word "Choice" instead of weapon as an emphasis of tact and diplomacy through communication instead of violence. My personal favorite is the logo in the center for its emphasis on the word "Choice."

Pique Logos
This was an logo I designed when I was considering making and selling homemade herbal skin care products. The logo was designed to visually mimic the quality of scent--top notes, middle notes, and base notes-- using color and transparency.

Buzz Around Wayne County Ads
I was commissioned by a local hard copy news magazine in Goldsboro, North Carolina to design 35 advertisements for prospective businesses located within the town. While I was given the logos and images with which to work, I designed the layout and spreads in Adobe InDesign.

Logos and Flyer
Being one of the first Writing Consultants (Coaches) at the Writing Center, I developed a lot of content promoting services to students at the University of Mount Olive. I was commissioned by the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and Writing Center Director to develop the initial logo used for the Writing Center back when the college was called "Mount Olive College" and used a different type-face for its brand identity. I also offered logos for the QEP initiative targeting student writing: On the Write Track.
As the Writing Center grew, I was eventually promoted to Writing Center Coordinator. I was tasked with developing an online consultation method for adult learners at the University of Mount Olive's nine locations. Understanding that adult learners face unique challenges relating to balancing an already established career, family, and educational responsibilities, I was sure to address these issues visually within the flyer. The flyer was further influenced by my interest of the portrayal of time on paper, like comic book panels.
